Studies of a 1990s rebellious subculture examining illegal raves, drugs, social protest and it's influence on fashion through the decades. After research and product developemnt I upcycled jeans based on a Moschino influenced design. Sustainability and enviornmental impact are key to the future of the fashion inductry.
I used collage, drawing, Photshop, screen printing, painting, sewing and applique to develop a 90s inspored garment and stuled a photoshoot. With the new empasis on sustainable product in the industry I felt it was important to use upcycling based on key industry trends including Selfridges Project Earth.
Rave and rebellion seems very far removed from a Covid society and represnts a freedom we no longer have to express beliefs.
